Smilax China  is a medicinal plant that has roots with therapeutic properties. The extract of  Smilax China root makes sarsaparilla syrup that can be used for preparing sarsaparilla drink.  Smilax China  drink is very popular in India. It is known as nannari or naruneendi in Indian languages.
The herb sarsaparilla (Smilax officinalis) is used for problems involving the blood, skin, circulation, and intestines. Sarsaparilla has carminative, diaphoretic, and tonic properties. It is also used in herbal blends to help energy levels.
